The UCN is a fast paced, offbeat, series of recordings of an illegally transmitted broadcast. It is the result of a group of frustrated characters whose comedy show pitch repeatedly turned down by stuffy network executives, cable companies, and even college based cable access. Taking matters into their own hands, the blundering group team up with some “new age” techno geeks, and a set of semi-cooperative mobsters. They begin a pathetic series of mishandled attempts to broadcast an independent live comedy show giving new meaning to Murphy’s Law.
